Awakening

Hi Friends,

Awakening this morning was an exhileration. Especially to see the headlines with the new president of America. The feeling was that one part of the world is celebrating democracy in its true sense.

Almost every country in all the continents have been struggling for eras with revolutions and also the emancipation. The racial prejudice has been blatant in the beginning, evil with the presence of the kluk kluk clan and slowly the whites did accept them. There have been movies, articles, revolutions, and many incidences to potray the attrocities as well as potray the acceptance by the citizens of America.

Today I feel that it is not Mr.Barack Hussein Obama who has won the election. It is United States of America who is the winner. They have overcome their weaknesses and have found the strength to accept, love and feel secured. They have found a person with whom they feel their country is secured, their rights are secured. In reality they have found their true self.

Along with the exhileration, there is a lump in my heart as I see the situation in my country.

At one point of time I had many opportunities to go abroad and carry out my mission which is "bringing about a positive difference in the lives of others". However I chose to stay in my own country as that mission could be accomplished here to and I have managed to do so. But the reason for not leaving the country was I felt secured here, safe, have an identity, my family and many many strong reasons.

Today I see that we are not even treating our fellow Indians with respect, equality. There is so much prejudice and the solutions are of stone age. "Survial of the Fittest". Is this what we call as a developing country. We are progressing or regressing.

The Question mark is too big.
