Emotional Management

I would like to know from all the viewers of this blog what they feel about the state of emotional management in our country. India is a country full of people who have the ability to survive in the worst of scenarios. However when I come across the younger generation who would be the asset of the country. I feel that there is a great lack of emotioal management. Students of all age group seem to be unaware of their feelings. That is appropriate feelings to approprite situation is not evident.
Either there is an over display of emotions in various forms or there is evidence of suppressed emotions.
they feel they are not understood by anyone. Earlier the peer support was available in the form of sharing feelings. However today the peer support is missing as more time is spent in classes repeating the topics which could have been learnt in schools or colleges.
Am I the only one feeling this huge wave of blunt emotions or there are others observing the same.

I'm 17 and happen to know about emotional intelligence merely because i stumbled upon a book about it in a book store

Not only do we students lack it , we're unaware of its existance.

Every student in std X "wants" to study but cant simply because he/she cannot focus. The root cause is that we dont know how to manage our levels of various harmones like dopamine , seretonin , neophenine etc .Simply Learning emotional management can do wonders for every student

For all students reading this I strongly urge you to read "Focus Zone" by lucy lo palladino
